UK Scrappers Weekly Challenge - May Wk 2

This week's challenge was set by Nerlly and she challenged us to use:

a ‘before and after’ theme for 10 points
some fussy cutting for 5 points 
for something hidden for 10 points 
using a frame for 5 points

I have used an old photo of Zoe sitting on the bed playing on her DS and then I digitally cut her out and placed her in a fantasy lily pad scene (my before and after element). My hidden aspect is that I have put the journalling in the arrow in the stripes.

UK Scrappers WC - May Wk 1

This week's challenge was set by the Lost Girls and we were challenged to:
Use cord/twine/ ribbon - 5 points
use bling - 5 points
use green and white - 10 points
use stamping - 10 points

I have used a template by Dawn Inskip that came as part of her latest Grab Bag. I have then used her digi kit called Forgotten. The cord is on the tag. There is bling in the glittery flowers and the fabric flower centre is diamanté! I have stamped 3 hearts in the bottom left hand corner of the layout.

UK Scrappers WC - April Week 5

This week's challenge was set by the Inky Minxs and they challenged us to use the sketch provided for 10 points, scrap a first for 10 points, and to use some paper, old or new for 5 points and finally to include bunting or stamping/inking 5 points.

I have used Rosie Posie's Noted digi kit. I have scrapped photos of Zoe having her first ever play on the drums. They had been set up at her after school club ready for the youth club that evening. She was hooked and then badgered us for several months to buy her a kit!

UK Scrappers WC - April Wk 4

This week's challenge was set by the RikRak Ravers and they challenged us to use their sketch for 10 points, to scrap a man in your life for 5 points, use different alphas for 5 points, use misting/inking/painting for 5 points and to obviously use rik rak for the last 5 points.

I have used a digi kit Studio Rosie Posie called Miracle of Love.

UK Scrappers Weekly Challenge - April Wk 3

This week's challenge was set by the Scatty Scrappers and they challenged us to:
Scrap a birthday = 10
use a sheet of old paper = 10
use a colour associated with the weather = 5
use 4 of something = 5

My old paper is the orangey/yellow background one and it is from one of the first digi kits I ever downloaded called A Pocketful of Summer by Angela Young. I chose the yellowy paper as a symbol of sunshine! I have used a digi template by Dawn Inskip called Creations Vol 2. and her Kaleidoscope did kit. There are 4 flowers on the page.

The photo is of my daughter celebrating her 6th birthday.

UK Scrappers Weekly Challenge - April Wk 2

This week's challenge was set by the Paper Addicts and we were asked to use a nursery rhyme / fairytale title for 10 points, use an animal photo for 10 points and to use several papers/paper based products for the final 10 points.

I have used a Dawn Inskip Creations template and various papers from her digi kits!

UK Scrappers Weekly Challenge - April Wk 1

This week's challenge was set by MiniOwner aka Sue and her challenge is as follows:

As I'm on the Design Team for Creative Craft World I'm going to ask you to use our April Scrap Map as your starter for 10.



Yesterday was April Fools' Day so please make your page a bit of fun - a happy photo, a pun in the title, a joke in the journalling - anything that raises a smile or a giggle.

And last of all, for no reason other than I like them, include lots of buttons on your page.

So, in summary,
- use the sketch for 10 points
- make us smile for 10 points
- include lots of buttons for 10 points.
